The Big Day
Three days out. Say what!! Planning this wedding has been so much fun. Before preparation, I had heard so many stories about how stressful it is to plan a wedding. I remember right before we started searching for a venue, I prayed and asked the Lord to be in every detail. I prayed this prayer consistently. And there are so many stories of exactly that! His details are in it all. The last 9 months, The Lord has been teaching me that He loves to bless us. He loves showing off. He loves being in the details. Often times, we don’t have because we don’t ask.
Not only has it been fun. But all the planning has continued to build mine and my moms relationship. It’s a bonus 🙌🏼 She has done so much for our big day. I couldn’t be more thankful for her. She has had such a selfless and willing heart this whole time. Mom you are more than just my mom - You are my bestfriend. I could go on and on so I will stop there. 😭
There is no doubt that this will be an adjustment. I have never moved out and although, I wouldn’t have it any other way. Leaving my sweet parents (And Ellie) is bitter/sweet. They have made living at home so much fun. Unfortunately, it’s not been until the last few weeks that I’ve realized how fortunate I am to have the parents I have. So mom and dad, I love you guys more than y’all will ever realize.
I’m also so excited to be gaining another family. Although, it feels like they are already family. I can’t wait to make it “official” 🙌🏼 I’m grateful for the support and love you guys have poured out to Will and I. Love each one of you!
And finally, Ah!!! Will - The past five 1/2 years have been so much fun with you.. They have also been challenging. We have made our share of mistakes. But I believe they have made us who we are today. I’m especially thankful for what we went through this past summer. I believe the Lord had to break us so that we may truly surrender every part of our lives to Him. To see you running after the Lord is the most special thing. And I’m grateful that we get to do that together. We are a team. Jesus knew since before I was even born that I was going to be on your team + I think that is SO extremely cool. Anyways, I can’t wait to be married to YOU and make so many more memories by your side. You are the best thing that has ever happened to me. I love you Will and I can’t wait to start forever with YOU. Let’s do this.
